Mosby Building Arts Wins A Pair of Homer Awards

Every year, the Home Builders Association (HBA) hosts The Homer Awards, known in the industry as “The Academy Awards for Home Builders.” It’s a formal, Black Tie event honoring the best work of area new home builders and remodelors.
Mosby submitted two projects into this year’s competition, and both of them earned a Homer! Chesterfield Modern Ranch won Outstanding Total Renovation and Frontenac Home Office won for Outstanding Addition.
Accepting the awards on behalf of Mosby and the homewowners were Rich Oris (above, left) project manager for the Frontenac Home Office, and Mike Iwasyszyn (above, right), project lead for the Chesterfield Modern Ranch. Our carpenters “cleaned up real nice,” and we congratulate them on being honored for exemplerary work. And we extend our thanks to the HBA for recognizing our commitment to insightful architecture and enduring remodeling.

[...] The timing on this article is nice because last month, this same project won an HBA Homer Award for Outstanding Total Renovation. Our crew spent over 2-years working with the homeowner on this remodel, so having the outside world acknowledge how special it is feels real good. It was quite the remodeling adventure, and we enjoy watching it take on a life of its own. [...]

[...] Today was the day the Home Builders Association of St. Louis sends out industry qualified judges to see all of the Homer Award nominees. We entered this project into the Special Projects – Additions category, and this morning we awaited the judges arrival. [...]

Unable to attend the event was Project Manager Rick Henson, responsible for overseeing the Outstanding Addition project.
