In Progress: A Kirkwood Porch

For a Kirkwood client, we designed a front porch that wraps around to a new garage expansion. One of the unique features we love about this project is how the steps outline the entire porch area, effectively creating unlimited bench seating options.

Another great feature: the multiple bays of the new garage each have a distinct function, with the middle bay specifically for storing a boat. Storage has never been so attractive!

This project is scheduled to be done right before Christmas. We’re looking forward to seeing a holiday wreath on the families’ gorgeous new front door. Below: one of the family’s dogs taking a rest after a round of Frisbee toss.

Mosby’s “Director of First Impressions” recently got married. Holly married Brendan at the Hidden Lake Winery in Aviston, IL. It was a perfect fall day, Holly made for a beautiful bride and her son Nick was a handsome little man in his tuxedo. Her fellow employees congratulate Holly & Brendan on their marriage and wish the new family the best of luck on their new adventure.

Today was a good mail day, because we just got the latest issue of Remodeling magazine, and we’re in it!

One of our projects is featured in a 5-page spread. The article is also available on-line at the magazine’s website, along with a photo gallery of the house.

The timing on this article is nice because last month, this same project won an HBA Homer Award for Outstanding Total Renovation. Our crew spent over 2-years working with the homeowner on this remodel, so having the outside world acknowledge how special it is feels real good. It was quite the remodeling adventure, and we enjoy watching it take on a life of its own.

Mosby Makes Angie’s List Honor Roll

We were pleased to get a letter from Angie’s List congratulating on us making their Honor Roll.

As they explained it, Mosby Building Arts “racked up several good reports in a short amount of time. Specifically, (you) earned two or more positive (“A”) reports and no negative (“D” or “F”) and were in good standing with Angie’s List.”

What makes this such a nice honor is that all Angie’s List ratings come directly from homeowners who’ve actually used the companies they write reports on. It’s an honest system governed by consumers to rate companies so as to separate the good from the bad.

A commitment to serving our clients is a driving force in our company. We are grateful that some of our client’s have taken the time to document a job well done on Angie’s List. And we thank Angie’s List for placing us on the Honor Roll. It inspires us to keep striving for excellence.
