Homer Goes Home to His New Parents

Friday, January 25th, 2008

mosby homer comes home 01.jpg

Last summer, we shared with you Homer judging day.

We shared with you the winning of 2 Homers in the fall (and the tourist journey one of the Homers took around St. Louis!)

And now we bring you the other, more well-behaved Homer being welcomed into his new home.

In the above photo - left to right - Mosby clients Dave and Kathy are given their Homer by Rick Henson (the winning project’s project manager) and Mosby president Scott Mosby. Rick and Kathy were able to catch up on family doings, and we learned how their “new” home enhances their life and thrills their grandkids! Kathy and Dave were great teammates during the design and remodeling process, and all the efforts paid off in a home they love…

…and a Homer, shown above with his new parents! Congratulations all around.

Do You Have A Heated Driveway?

mosby heated driveway.jpg

This morning, our Project Manager Rich Oris braved temperatures in the teens to check on a past client. This is the project he oversaw, and he wanted to know how their heated driveway performed this morning.

It’s working perfectly.
Wouldn’t you like something like this for your home?

Mosby Custom Furniture in Remodeling Magazine

mosby custom furniture.jpg

We are featured in the January 2008 issue of Remodeling magazine. In the Kitchen & Bath Design Clinic section is a piece called “Fine Dining” which details a special piece of furniture we made for a client. Read the fully-illustrated on-line version here.

mosby Adrienne Morgan.jpg

Our project planner Adrienne Morgan - who is also a Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer - designed the table for a dream client who has had us work on most every room of their home. The article does a brilliant job of detailing how Adrienne worked with the client to create a unique piece of furniture that fulfilled all functional and aesthetic needs. One detail the article overlooked was the man who collaborated with the client and Adrienne to bring this piece to life:

mosby Tim Wahlig.jpg

Tim Wahlig - who is now our project estimator - was the project manager on this kitchen remodel, and he was responsible for pulling all the pieces together and taking design from paper to reality. Which highlights how every Mosby project is a complete team effort. Together, we create exceptional solutions that build lasting value and beauty. Congratulations to Adrienne for the well-earned national recognition of her talents, and a special round of applause to “the man behind the curtain!”

Remodeling: It’s All in the Family

mosby remodeling crew luncheon 011.jpg
Remodeling your home is really about improving your life, but we are fully aware of our clients’ concerns. For instance, the thought of having your daily routine interrupted is disconcerting, so our remodeling field crew is attentive and empathetic to the homeowners living under upheaval. This kind of attention to people is what makes them so beloved by so many of our clients, and as shown in the photo above, why they were blessed with good wishes and good food over the holidays!

Our guys are in this family’s home for a library room addition and new front facade in Ladue. The client’s are loving the work, and loving the Mosby carpenters, and the Friday before Christmas they pulled out all the stops and made a buffet style lunch for them! You’re looking at the photos the lady of the house took of them enjoying their surprise gift. We will be done with their project by the end of this month (we’ll share the finish photos with you!), and as often happens with Mosby projects, both the crew and the homeowners are a little sad to part. But it’s never “goodbye,” only “see you later,” because along with improving lives, we build long-term relationships. Or on this day, our guys built luncheon plates, and send their sincere thanks for a great meal!
