Updating a Pergola

The original pergola on this home in Olivette, MO was failing, and the homeowner brought in Mosby Building Arts to design and build a replacement. The new pergola and bench seating is constructed of ipe wood, and we reversed the orientation of the roof to relieve the load-bearing stress on the wood support columns. Iron beams now support the wisteria vine trunks, and add another layer of design. All water damage issues to brick, concrete and natural stone were corrected and sealed to prolong the life, and the new wood pergola was sealed, as well.
