Town & Country Remodel

Before moving into their newly-purchased home, the owners wanted to give it a “face lift. The Mosby Total Home crew began the remodel by leveling all the floors and laying down new wood flooring throughout the entire house. New coats of paint in every room were an instant refresher, and a new front door, tile flooring and lighting enlivened the entry foyer. The bathroom in the master bedroom was treated to a full update.
Where design ingenuity came into play was the rethink of the family room and kitchen. Previously, a bank of counters and top cabinets created a severe separation between the two rooms, making both feel cramped. By reconfiguring the kitchen and its boundaries, this rectangular space takes on a loft-like sweep and provides three distinct areas. The new kitchen gains double the amount of storage of the previous one, and the new family area centers around an elegant gas fireplace. Distinctive new lighting throughout the space highlights all the positive changes.
