Wildwood Renovation

A home with a magnificent lake view needed to take advantage of that scenery. Mosby designers extended and reconfigured the exterior wall to employ more glass, which includes a new adobe-like fireplace that allows for a “picture window” above it. The Southwestern Arts & Crafts feel of the home was deepened with new wood plank flooring in the public area, and new window sills crafted to match it.

The new indoor space is geared toward outdoor views and the owner’s bird watching hobby, and this leads to the new outdoor area. Mosby carpenters built a new compact deck with stairs leading down to a new ground level patio area. A feeder attached to the new stair railing attracts birds, which can be watched from 3 different levels outdoors, or from indoors where the window wall captures lake breezes and scenery.
